TOUCHÉ AMORÉ - To the Beat of a Dead Horse

Touché Amoré make so much sense in hardcore right now. There’s not much I can really say about them apart from the fact that they play honest, true and heartfelt hardcore, brilliantly bridging gaps between various sub-genres. Elements of post-hardcore, real screamo and melodic hardcore can all be found here, and in great numbers. The band successfully fuse together beautifully melodic and harshly dissonant backdrops for vocalist Jeremy Bolm’s raw-throated stories of corruption, insomnia and loneliness. Don’t let the “hardcore” tag put you off if you’re not a hardcore or heavy music fan; I was pleasantly surprised when I first listened to To the Beat of a Dead Horse as to how easily accessible and listenable it is. Please download, listen, understand, love and repeat.
